Movies

Last night I saw Thank You For Smoking. I was impressed with the balance of sarcasm, snarkiness, irony and story-telling. Aaron Eckhart is charmingly persuasive in a sleazy way. Definitely recommended if anyone is interested, and not a single cigarette smoked in the movie.

Contemplating going to a Tribeca Film or two if there is time.

Unfortunately, United 93 is actually playing on A&E this evening and I'm watching it. Unsure if I'm ready or interested in re-living that experience from freshman year of college, but will watch till I can't anymore. How bizarre that it's on, but they've been playing things to lead up to this all day. I watched a documentary on people who missed flight 93 that morning and after that there was a show on predicting September 11. Many mixed feelings. More on this later.

Edit: The movie on A&E last night was titled Flight 93 not United 93

A&E was showing United 93? I thought it was only in theatres at the moment... odd.

I was particularly keen on seeing that movie, either, although I do want to check out Thank You For Smoking.

Yesterday I saw BRICK, which was great.

Alex, I just edited my post. Very sneaky with the titles and such. I saw Brick as well. It was awesome. I love that Joseph Gordon Levitt and the characters were quite witty without being over the top.
